The Local Area
El Pinaret is within easy reach of the bustling and cosmopolitan cities of Reus, Tarragona and Barcelona (great shopping). Beach resorts: Cambrils has grown from a picturesque fishing village and marina to a popular and up-market resort. Salou is perhaps the best known resort on the Costa with a large selection of bars, restaurants and clubs tailored to every member of the family. The Roman city of Tarragona also has extensive historical interest (with it's own amphitheatre). Barcelona, the capital of Catalunya, home of Gaudi, is highly recommended a visit.
If you drive north you will find Penedes wine district and driving south the Priorat wine district.
There are numerous Golf courses nearby namely Aisguesverds(a level course that is easy to walk) an 18 hole course and Bonmont Terres Noves with wonderful views of the Med and a fantastic mountain back drop. Bonmont makes use of its natural landscape having numerous bunkers and water hazards.
The Prades Mountains boast up to 3000 climbing routes and the Volta Catalunya cycle race passes very nearby.
For the children, most importantly, there is Universal Studios 'Port Aventura'. A must see for both children and adults alike. A recently opened Caribe Aquatic Park is also close by and well worth a visit. Horse riding can be accessed at a local ranch. These attractions when coupled with the numerous sandy beaches of the Tarragona coast makes for a memorable fun packed holiday.
Of course you do have the alternative option available to you, do nothing! Our guests often comment on how peaceful the villa is and how it allows holidaymaker's the possibility to sample a little of Catalan life. Many have used the phrase 'a little bit of Heaven'.
